a pleasant though surreal conversation i had with a lady called Mary, who was clearly suffering from alzheimers and should probably not have been out on her own, on salisbury train station.

Restringing my guitar after polishing it. It stayed in tune!

The unexpected, 'Thank you sir' after I held a door open for a young lad this morning.

Cooking roasted vegetables late at night.

Leaving the pub and people saying, 'No stay a bit longer. I'll get this one.' My head hurt the next day though!

Huge gatherings, lots of people, lots of talk, lots of booze, lots of noise. You catch the eye of your significant other and see a smile and a wink meant just for you.

Watching squirrels chasing each other around the garden.

Listening to a bird calling to another bird from my garden - then hearing the other bird distinctly replying from a distant garden.

Yeah, preferably through cross-hairs

Sorry, is this not the rant thread? I seem to have got a little lost...

Sipping a delicious real ale while reclining in a very comfy chair by a roaring woodburning stove reading Alan Bennett on a truly shitty day outside. Thats Idling folks!
