This thread is for those odd news snippets, surpressed photos, misfiled reports and anything else that might heighten our sense of paranoia. Items of local and personal interest are welcome as well as those pertaining to global doom. I'll start with this one that falls somewhere betwixt and between the above catagories.

There are up to 4.2m CCTV cameras in Britain -

about one for every 14 people.

we are watching you!
its not that I am old!
its that your music really is crap!!!
its shelf life is 3 minutes and its legacy is that it is unremarkable!
and seldom requires someone who can actually sing or musicians who can play their instruments!
you are supposed to play the music to the beat
not beat the music into submission!

Far fewer. We are too big a country in terms of area and population to make these things as ubiquitous as they are in Britain. That said they are popular in urban areas, around gov't buildings an in shopping malls.

Apparently the UK has more CCTV cameras than any other country, and London has more CCTV cameras than any other place in the UK, and my area of London has more CCTV cameras than any other area of London.

From the chair I'm sitting in to my front door is five paces. From there to the nearest CCTV camera outside is fifteen small paces (or eleven large paces, but I'm being generous so let's stick with fifteen.)
