In the news a week or so ago was the story of new superbugs that no antibiotic could kill. In fact when you do have a bacterial infection it takes longer to deal with it with antibiotics.

So what's the alternative? Compresses and poultices. Will abcesses be cut out in future. I have a gum boil at the moment which won't shift after being shifted from the base of the tooth.

Mother's ruin, Edith!
Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but the times your breath is taken away.

Lemsip please get yourself to a dentist, an untreated dental infection can have serious consequences.
Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending

There is nothing, abolutely nothing, half so worth doing as simply messing around in boats

I went to the nearest private dentist this morning to make an appointment. The receptionist, when she had found my details from four years' back when I had an extraction there because no NHS dentist would pull it out, tried to persuade me to wait in the waiting room to see if the dentist would fit me in that morning as if somebody might cancel their appointment or turn up late. I said I had no cash or cheque book on me but she told me that they take all cards but American Express. I then said I didn't have time as I wanted to do some shopping (i.e. visit the local farmers market that morning rather than over the weekend in town) but the truth was I don't get paid until Tuesday and didn't have my credit card on me.

So I ended up with an appointment for 8.30 am on Monday. Not so much a problem getting up but getting going and being ready to leave home at 8.15 am. But then I'll skip breakfast and cup of tea until I've been to the dentist.

Incidentally, Homeopathy has lots of effective remedies for bacterial infections, but I didn't want to bang THAT drum again lol
