Indeed Chinny Idle, a boiling kettle does make a good hand warmer. As does the grill if you're careful. The trick is to only to pop your hands in when you're using the grill pan on the high shelf.
That way you can hold your hands in the warm space below it just above the plate you'll also be warming. (Don't forget a warmed plate also keeps your food and your hands warm as you eat.)
My grill is electric I don't know how well that trick works if you have an gas grill.Either way you want to be keeping your hands away from any direct contact with the heat source.

I wonder if Mr. Cameron and his Irish equivalent read this stuff. I bet he doesn't have to warm his hands over the toaster before he goes off to Prime Minister's Question Time or as I like to call it "Look at me aren't I the witty one with my snappy replies and taunting retorts at the opposition benches" hour.

The leading of the lettering in the Subject Line is very tight making the text in some virtually unreadable.

It is the same across three browsers. Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
