Yeah, my scary hat is a godsend. Put that on for half an hour and I'm boiling hot.

Sounds like business as usual to me, Edith.

Indeed Chinny Idle, a boiling kettle does make a good hand warmer. As does the grill if you're careful. The trick is to only to pop your hands in when you're using the grill pan on the high shelf.
That way you can hold your hands in the warm space below it just above the plate you'll also be warming. (Don't forget a warmed plate also keeps your food and your hands warm as you eat.)
My grill is electric I don't know how well that trick works if you have an gas grill.Either way you want to be keeping your hands away from any direct contact with the heat source.

I wonder if Mr. Cameron and his Irish equivalent read this stuff. I bet he doesn't have to warm his hands over the toaster before he goes off to Prime Minister's Question Time or as I like to call it "Look at me aren't I the witty one with my snappy replies and taunting retorts at the opposition benches" hour.

I do agree that wearing more clothes is better than just turning the heating up, but you can have all the layers on you like but if it's cold and damp, they won't keep you warm.

Mind you, dharma, you are living it up in the gloriously warm south west...you lightweight.

I used to have a flatmate who'd stand around in a t shirt in the middle of winter and then insist on putting the heating on. Aaaaaargh I mean aaarrrrrrrgh!

this isn't the how to stay warm thread is it......

The only thing I can see that's a bit goggling on the eyes is ^ up there where it says Reply Topic: 'Re: Idle Foundation website changes' I think the typeface might need changing at some point Mr.L it's all rather bunched up and squishy.Apart from that everything looks groovy..

Try not to look for tiny glitches, Mr Lorac. I'll have to lose another jumper.

Chinny remove one jumper please.

The leading of the lettering in the Subject Line is very tight making the text in some virtually unreadable.

It is the same across three browsers. Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

No emails to inform me about receiving PM's?

Does this mean Chinny has to remove another layer or was that just her doing a rather slow striptease?
